What is Desucon?

Desucon is an annual Japanese culture, Sci-Fi and fantasy convention. The venue is arranged for the fifth time this year, and is Norway’s biggest event of this kind. This year’s Desucon will be held at Oslo Congress Centre 26th and 27th of June.

Desucon provides the visitors with a varied program, in which you are guaranteed to find something you are interested in. There will be lectures, debates, competitions and contests for the visitors, and a wide selection of stands will be present as well; Outland and Neo-Tokyo will be back yet another year, and new visitors from all the way from Canada and the U.S. will also be present. In addition, a cosplay competition, as well as other cosplay events, will be arranged, and the troopers of Nordic Garrison will be visiting this year as well. Last year’s success, The Great Auction, is back in action this year.

In collaboration with Guren Promotions, this year’s Desucon will feature a concert with the Japanese rock band Versailles. The concert itself will be held at Samfunnssalen in Oslo, Saturday 26th of June. More information about the concert can be found at http://guren.me.
